About Laylianah....

Laylianah (Lay-lee-anah) Mahasin, also know as Layla for short, has devoted herself to the art of Belly Dance since the age of 15. Laylianah is passionate about both performing and teaching this beautiful art form.  She is currently based in Durham, NC, and performs and teaches all over the Triangle Area and beyond!

Laylianah has won multiple awards during her dance career.  Her most recent accomplishments include SharQui Fitness Instructor Certification. She was selected to perform in Jillina's BDE Experience production of The Wizard of Oz, and is a 2019 East Coast Classic Competition title holder, winning both 2nd Place and People's Choice in the Professional Cabaret Category.

 

As a performer, Laylianah’s goal is to embody the music and engage her audience in a captivating story! Her style can be anything from impassioned and dramatic to flirty and fun, but is always family-friendly. She currently performs Lebanese, Egyptian, Turkish, and American Cabaret styles. Laylianah has many years of experience performing for diverse audiences in a wide array of venues, from restaurants to football fields!



As an instructor, Laylianah prides herself on providing a fun, supportive learning atmosphere. She has studied many styles of belly dance with world renowned instructors, and looks forward to sharing what she has learned with all her students.
